Dr. Kimberly Sears graduated from Auburn University in 1989.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Eastern Kentucky University where she graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Sears was a relief veternarian for 9 years before becoming the new owner of Village Animal Hospital.  Later she developed a Village Animal Hospital partnership with her brother Timothy.  She has a son named Andrew, a fiance named Galen, 2 dogs (Luther- Labradoodle, Sammy- Yorkie) and 1 cat ("Scruffy" Henry Batman Jones).

Jessica is our Practice Manager, working here since 2008. She has an associate’s degree in accounting, and is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA).  She is currently working towards obtaining her certification as a veterinary practice manager (CVPM). She resides in Cynthiana with her husband Bill and son Connor. She is a member of Silas Baptist Church in Cynthiana. She has 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 horses, and 2 miniature ponies. Her motto for life is the serenity prayer and a quote from Jim Clemmer- “Results come from what we do with what we know not just from what we know. Krista is a certified Veterinary Technician, who started here in 2010. She has an Associate’s degree from the vet tech program at Morehead State, a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from UK, and is certified in Laser Therapy. She lives in Lexington with her husband Charlie. She has 3 cats named Tiger, Honeycomb, and the newest edition, a kitten named Wildcat.  

Olivia is one of our Veterinary Assistants and has been here since 2010. She has an Animal Science bachelor’s degree from Midway college and has several years experience working with horses and primates. She has two dogs and hopes to have horses, rabbits, and chickens someday. She lives in Lancaster on a small farm with her husband and two children.   She is aspiring to learn all she can about the veterinary technician field and wants to help educate clients in the benefits of pet insurance and pet dental care.  Photo taken with Scruffy, Dr. Sears cat.

Megan has been an assistant here since January 2011.  She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's in English.  She is currently pursuing her goal of obtaining her technician degree in veterinary medicine.  She has a german shepherd named Charlie and is training to participate in several upcoming running marathons.

Megan is Village Animal Hospital's Groomer.  She has been grooming for over 4 years here, and over 11 years in general.  She grooms all breeds.
