Dr. DEANNA COTTON
Emergency Medicine Veterinarian
DeAnna Cotton, MPH, DVM has been an Emergency Veterinarian in Lexington since 2016. With a passion for dentistry and the refreshing aspects of preventative pet care, Dr. Cotton has joined the Village Animal Hospital staff part time.
She attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters in Public Health. Then she attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
When not treating patients, Dr. Cotton enjoys couponing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Lynne McMaine
Dr. McMaine has practiced Small Animal Veterinary Medicine in Central Kentucky since graduating from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. Previous to that, she graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Kentucky.
Presently, she is a relief veterinarian but greatly enjoys her regular days here at Village.
Dr. McMaine has two adult children and a dog named Sam (not pictured). After a stimulating day at work, you can find her gardening, talking with friends, and family, or taking a walk with Sam.
Meet Our Team
Olivia has her Bachelors of Science from Midway University and is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician Certification from Cedar Valley College, which is the only program that is endorsed by AAHA and is AVMA accredited.
Olivia has been with us for 8 years and is a Cat Friendly advocate. When asked what she loves most about VAH she said she loves how the clinic strives to be the best!
Olivia's goal for herself is to get her Veterinary Compassion Fatigue Certification in order to be the best manager possible for our team.
When Olivia isn't at our clinic she enjoys horseback riding, kayaking and spending time with her family and their beloved dog, Louie (pictured).
Stephanie is a Graduate of Midway College with a Bachelors in Business Communications and a Bachelors in Elementary Education. Her favorite thing about Village Animal Hospital is getting to know and working with our clients and patients. She aspires to get her Veterinary Technician License and also has an interest in Animal Physical Therapy. Stephanie has 5 large dogs and 1 guinea pig who she loves to spend time with in her free time. All while planning her wedding!
Emily joins the VAH team all the way from New York! Along with an enjoyment for traveling, Emily shares in the love and excitement of veterinary medicine and all it has to offer. She aims to become the best she can be with the help of her coworkers and is delighted to learn new techniques. She also has a strong interest in mortuary services. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, Bailey.
Laughlin is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Equine Management at the University of Kentucky.
Laughlin is a Cat Friendly advocate.
When asked what she loves most about VAH she said it would be the friendly atmosphere we have in the clinic, whether it's towards our clients, our staff or the pets (especially our kitties) she says everyone should feel welcomed coming through our doors.
When Laughlin is finished with undergrad she plans on pursuing Veterinary school to further her career.
When Laughlin isn't working hard at the clinic or focused on her studies she enjoys unwinding by playing the piano.
Taylour comes to Village Animal Hospital with a background in emergency veterinary medicine. Taylour attended the University of Kentucky perusing a degree in Biology with a minor in Animal Sciences. Taylour’s dream is to get her Veterinary Technician License and become Wildlife Certified as well. Her favorite thing about Village Animal Hospital is the compassion and concern the staff shows for each patient. In her free time, Taylour enjoys spending time engaging in outdoor activities with her husband, scrapbooking, and anything to do involving her love for cats.
Emma is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s in Science in journalism and mass communications and a Bachelor’s of science in sociology. Emma enjoys the variety of patients we see every day and the interaction with our clients. Emma strives to continue to grow and gain knowledge in the veterinary field and to pursue getting her Certified Practice Manager Certification. In her free time, Emma takes joy in competing at AKC dog shows and riding her horse, Joey.
Haley is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Animal Science from the University of Kentucky.
When asked what she loves the most about VAH she said it's working with all the animals that come through our doors, whether is the smallest of our kittens, to our 120+ pound dogs, she loves them all. She likes to be able to give them the best quality of care they can get in order to help maintain their healthy, happy lives with us!
Haley's goals for herself are to attend Veterinary School and to specialize in exoctic animals!
In Haley's free time she enjoys doing anything artistic and creative from drawing, painting and felting.
