Dr. Kim Sears
Owner
Dr. Kim Sears was born and raised in central Kentucky. She had a passion for animals at a young age. She graduated from EKU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Then she attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Dr. Sears purchased Village Animal Hospital in 1998. She enjoys running VAH and particularly loves having her own practice so she can implement her own high standards in vet care and service.
She has a son, Andrew and shares her home with her dog, Herbie and bird, Alvin.
Dr. Heather Darnall
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Heather Darnall is a Kentucky native and is originally from Brandenburg, KY. She
attended the University of Kentucky for her undergraduate studies where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Animal Sciences. Dr. Darnall attended veterinary school at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing veterinary medicine since June 2018.
Throughout her veterinary career, Dr. Darnall’s interests include shelter medicine, dermatology, and preventative medicine. She has always valued the human-animal bond and is very grateful to play an important role in that.
In her free time, Dr. Darnall enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the outdoors. She also likes to spend time with her cat, Gilbert,
and her dog, Lucy.
Dr. Taylor Linville
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Taylor is originally from Richmond, KY. She earned her undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University. Her professional interests include surgery and diagnostic imaging, where she enjoy combining technical skill with problem solving to provide the highest level of patient care. When not caring for patients, Dr. Taylor is passionate about continuing to grow her knowledge and making a positive impact on the lives of pets and their families.
