Dr. Heather Darnall
Dr. Heather Darnall is a Kentucky native and is originally from Brandenburg, KY. She attended the University of Kentucky for her undergraduate studies where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Animal Sciences in 2014. Dr. Darnall attended veterinary school at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing veterinary medicine since June 2018.
Throughout her veterinary career, Dr. Darnall’s interests include shelter medicine, dermatology, and preventative medicine. She has always valued the human-animal bond and is very grateful to play an important role in that.
In her free time, Dr. Darnall enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the outdoors. She also likes to cook and spend time with her two cats, Gilbert and Gatsby, and her dog, Lucy.
Dr. Deanna Cotton
DeAnna Cotton, MPH, DVM has been an emergency veterinarian in Lexington since 2016. She has a passion for dentistry and the refreshing aspects of preventative medical care. Dr. Cotton sees patients at Village Animal Hospital several days a week.
She attended the University of Kentucky where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Equine Sciences and a Masters in Public Health. Then she attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
When not treating patients, Dr. Cotton enjoys couponing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Kim Sears was born and raised in central Kentucky. She had a passion for animals at a young age. She graduated from EKU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Then she attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
She purchased Village Animal Hospital in 1998. She enjoys running VAH and particularly loves having her own practice so she can implement her own high standards in vet care and service.
She has a son Andrew and shares her home with her dog Herbie and bird Alvin.
